You see, I saw this in my FFVI guild book.
I can't tell me specific information right now (because I don't have it), but I am pretty sure that once of the description said "Randomly casts bolt2, casts bolt3 when thrown". However, I never have seen this armor, or heard this. Is this a little mistake the guild book made? Or does it really exist? -------------------- I will be there... |

IIRC, it's a mistake made in the NP player's guide, it's really just the Thunder Shld.
EDIT: you can't even throw armor, I don't know how they came up with that. It should read "teaches Bolt 2, casts Bolt 3 when used." -------------------- |

Did anyone else ever buy that stupid "Unauthorized FFIII Forbidden Game Secrets" book? The information is incomplete in the monsters section, and half of it is so poorly translated it's not even funny. Don't even get me started on the weapons chapter. It even says that if you're running out of time on the floating contenent, just forget about Shadow and jump. Bleh.

I wouldn't worry about it, I bet all the guidebooks on FF6 made way back when are wrong in some very laughable way.

The Nintendo version was really pretty good. The one that Darth mentions was written based on a half-translated Japanese FF6 cart, and is thus rife with errors.

I hate to say it, but there's a reason I like to poke at NP's guide (I held back on this for a few days, I know, but I want to say it anyway).
It's the crap about the final battle, how the tiers are "reincarnations of the statues". Where did that come from!? Were they totally unable to come up with an explanation for their existence so they made this up? Not only did I never buy into this, but this is the reason the Ragnarok/Atma Weapon rumor exists. I haven't seen anything on this rumor in months though, maybe it's finally dead.  Okay, through venting. -------------------- |
