Don't scroll down unless of course you want to be spoiled or want to learn about the ending or what it meant.
I figured early on something was up with the game with the story. I remember when Square told us we would never get a full on remake and they were right. Then the ending happened and it was revealed this game wasn't a remake its a sequel that takes place after Final Fantasy VII Dirge of Cerberus. The fact Time-Travel-Roth traveled back in time and changed things makes perfect sense why things changed. Also the flash back towards Crisis Core in which Zac face down Shinra with the Price of Freedom and you can see something happened that caused Zac to live which is also most likely why other things within the game are very much different. Somehow Zac lived and went to Midgar and further influenced things causing a butterfly effect. We don't know if hes still alive as Cloud as resumed Zac's idenity but its most likely possible. Also each character was given visions of the future as well as Aerith communicating directly with the planet to avoid the future that had happened it seems like the next game will be completely new. They tricked us with the word remake we didn't get what we thought we were going to get but Sephiroth going back in time and remaking the events that unfolded and during the game time trying to defend and attack the party when they treated to deviate from the orginal time line. People thought humanity died and only those Red XIII things lived since it gave hundreds of years later. As I pointed out back then when Red XIII referring to how old he was in years it was pointed out that was dog years so the ending of FF7 referring more towards dog years. Same with GTAIII people would write guides for years calling the main character, "Fido." When I pointed out 'Fido' is a dog's name used to fetch things. So when the female character in GTA3 called him Fido shes basically calling him an errand body fetching thind. -------------------- His Divine Shadow |

Putting the GTA tangent to one side, I'm not sure what you're driving at re dog years. Nanaki is what, 48, but a comparable human teenager (16/17) according to Bugenhagen. That's the opposite of dog years. So to use your logic, the purported 500 years later is really either only approx. 166 years later (so, civilisation collapses even faster), or it's 1500 years later (and no surprise that civilisation has gone, but frankly, doesn't make sense). Either way, I don't get your point - dog years or not. -------------------- We apologise for the inconvenience |
