FF4 is the oldest English FF to be released on the PlayStation, until the port of FF1 and FF2 arrives.

It is included in Final Fantasy Chronicles in the USA and Final Fantasy Anthology European Edition in, well, Europe.

However, it was originally released before the PlayStation existed, on the SNES (as FF2us).  So the first FF game to actually be RELEASED in the West for the PlayStation was FF7.

I'm going to move this to Other Square Games, just because it concerns a lot of stuff.

As I recall, the release order for PSX FF games (in America) was as follows:

FFVII
FFT
FF8
FFAnthologies, which contains FF5 and FF6
FF9
FFChronicles, containing FF4 and Chrono Trigger.
