Hey All,

So having broken down and bought the Google Play Store version this summer I've been replaying FFVI and noticing some significant differences first-hand as well as by reading here at CoN, Gamefaqs (specifically, Djibriel's old Rage Guide), and the FF Wiki. For example, Snare doesn't work on Intangir anymore. ohmy.gif Anyway, to those who've spent time in THIS version, I've got some as of yet unanswered questions (so far, mostly concerning the Veldt):

1.a ) Do, for example, Tonberries (the three together) - or any other previous monster that would show up whose Rage in previous ports wasn't learnable - still show up on the Veldt?

1.b ) If so, can we finally get, as well as use, their Rage(s)?

Oppositely, the 1st instance of the King Behemoth now shows up? 2.a ) But I can't get its Rage?

After I re-defeated it and the 2nd instance of it appeared, just like in the original battle, I was then able to get that version's Rage, but 2.b ) Will the 1st instance till show up again now?

3.a ) Are the enemy encounters in the bonus dungeons similar to the Veldt, i.e., will they only appear there if first viewed elsewhere?

3.b ) If not, will first witnessing them there unlock them to be seen on the Veldt?

4) Any other interesting changes you've noticed, and if so, what were they?

Thanks in advance, everyone; much obliged! flag-olly.gif

I haven't played the mobile or Windows versions, but your questions are curious - as far as I know, I thought they'd based that version on the GBA version, which Djibriel has studied extensively and is the version on which the CoN guide is based (aside from differences between GBA and SNES).

The only question I think I know the answer to is that I don't believe that enemies added for the bonus dungeons are Veldt-available, but that's just from a vague recollection of GBA that might not be accurate. smile.gif

5.a ) Also, if it's possible to get unlimited Ragnaroks, does that mean it's now possible to have Ragnarok (sword), Lightbringer, AND Ragnarok (Esper) simultaneously?

5.b ) And by extension, is it now possible to have both Odin and Raiden simultaneously?

5.c ) And/or multiples of the same Esper?

I'm really curious regarding all these possibilities...

Yes to the first question, I seem to recall, but no to the others.

6 ) Does anyone remember what the parameters were for getting an enemy listed in the PSX version Bestiary? Because it appears in the Android port, the particular enemy just seems to need be beaten, regardless of where. So far I've noticed beating a T-rex on the Veldt gained it in my Bestiary, as well as a couple monsters in the Colosseum. Huh.

Wanted to share some answers I've discovered:

1.a ) - Yes apparently, at least for Tonberries as I've seen them on the Veldt a few times now. Also fun fact: a Minerva Bustier is stealable from each one. (IIRC, in the SNES version among the three, only one could be, though; correct me if I'm wrong.)

1.b ) - Sadly, apparently still no (again, at least for Tonberries). Looks like they never fixed that. Although, I don't recall even having seen Proto Armor on the Veldt in this version...

2.a ) - Correct.

2.b ) - Yes, and this may have been changed since Djibriel wrote his guide, but it seems now the Behemoth King always, only appears just like in the the fight in the Cave on the Veldt: first as normal, then once defeated "An enemy's coming from behind!!" Also interestingly, for defeating both, Behemoth Suit x2 are dropped.

New question:

7 ) Can anyone else attest to when a command is finalized, such as Steal, Dance, or Control, there's a way to get a better chance of it executed? The little cursor moves towards and away from the target; have you found it's more likely to succeed when say, it's the furthest away when finalizing the command?

Cos I could swear there's a sweet spot, and iirc, it seemed it was similar to the flashing arrow lines in the SNES version if anyone remembers that...

Thanks!

8 ) Did the Cursed Ring get dummied out?

On the Veldt just now I successfully Mimicked Metamorphose until it appeared I turned an Ahriman into a Cursed Ring...but upon checking my inventory it looks as though I was denied. sad.gif

Anyone else experience this, in either the Android or GBA versions?
