I heard that a new walkthrough was being made for FFVI Advance on this site. Does anybody know if that will be done or when it will be completed?

I don't know. I was just wondering if they would write new chapters about the new dungeons and espers, and any other additions, maybe helping with the beastiary or something.

They're basically ports with enhancements and bonus stuff.
In FF IV there are upgraded graphics (noticeably better) and a new translation. THe dummied stuff is back, along with all the abilities and stuff from the original. You can use The twins, Cid, Edward, and Yang in the final battle if you want to. FFV has a new translation, slightly better graphics, new jobs, and bonus dungeons. FFVI has a new translation, pretty much the same graphics. New Espers, new dungeons with new equipment. They all have a Game Clear save option, Bestiaries, and Music Players. |

We are working on updates for the GBA versions of FFIV, V, and VI. If you want them now now now, volunteer to help and actually do what you're asked.

We have a problem with people who volunteer to help, accept specific tasks, and never think about it again. It makes them feel good because they said they'd do some work for the site, but all it really does it make life harder for the staff because we can't depend on things getting done. We also have a problem with people wanting new features that take hours and hours of work to complete and not understanding why it wasn't done yesterday. So, if you were being snide, please don't be. What we really need if we want to move the site along faster is for people to actually volunteer to help out, not just ask where their new content is. -------------------- Veni, vidi, dormivi. |

That's a perfectly understandable and reasonable stance, Kara. Your initial response was a bit rude though, don't you think? The OP didn't demand anything... they asked if something was being done, and if so if anyone knew when it would be completed. Their exact wording was: Quote I heard that a new walkthrough was being made for FFVI Advance on this site. Does anybody know if that will be done or when it will be completed? You responded as if they were hounding the mods with a "now now now" attitude, followed by "volunteer and actually do what you're asked". Snide? Perhaps I was. Surely you must admit though, your retort to the OP was nothing short of unabashed rudeness. -------------------- Join the Army, see the world, meet interesting people - and kill them. ~Pacifist Badge, 1978 |

I admit no such thing. "Terse" and "rude" don't mean the same thing.
On the other hand, butting in on a conversation that doesn't concern you expressly to criticize staff members as if they were your adolescent children is certainly rude. Question asked, question answered, thread closed. This post has been edited by karasuman on 18th June 2007 19:22 -------------------- Veni, vidi, dormivi. |
