Last night, a http://gematsu.com/2017/09/final-fantasy-ix-rated-ps4-europe, which is itself based on the earlier mobile port. That means you can expect higher-resolution FMV and models, as well as all the other upgrades in those previous releases. It also appears that you can expect to be locked into the game's original 4:3 aspect ratio.

Until the 26th, the game will be listed at $16.79, after which it will rise to its standard price of $20.99. Packaged with the download will be a Final Fantasy IX dashboard theme and eight themed PSN avatars. Possibly worth it if you're not a PC gamer, as it remains a great game; for me, I just kind of want the theme without buying the game again.

I recently bought the remastered FFXII, which I'm enjoying.

I might have to get FFIX as well. I wonder why they're selling it so cheaply, maybe they don't expect it to be popular?

I think that they are likely doing it at that price due to it being digital-only and a port. Popularity might factor in, I suppose. But does it often with Squenix? wink.gif

I bought FFIX last night for PS4 and played it. It was late and I was tired but it was refreshing.

Can't wait to continue playing it. My problem is I am already playing through FFV and typically I do not like to play two separate RPGs at the same time.

So many Final Fantasies, so little time!!
