I made a rewrite of Final Fantasy V. I submit it for your enjoyment.
Legend of the Crystals Many dog on FF5 for not being the dark, edgy game that the two bookending it are, and after playing the series for years on end, I can kind of see where they're coming from. FF5 is a bit saccharine. BUT! The gameplay is going to beat. Your. Boo. Tay. This is a hard game! Unlike FF4 which can be coasted through with the duplication trick, and FF6 which practically holds your hand with things like the Auto Bow Gun and Sabin's Blitzes, 5, when set to Active at the top speed, really is trying to get you killed. It's not frustratingly hard to navigate the way FF2 (the NES version) is, and the story actually can be kind of cool at times. If you'd like a full changelog, I've got one. If you need help patching it, PM me. Enjoy! ~ Spoons -------------------- X is blue. |

You did this? Interesting.
I see that Butz has been given a more respectful name, for starters. What else got changed? You didn't start making all sorts of silly references the way I hear the GBA version did, did you? -------------------- current games (2024-02-19): Fairy Fencer F ADF Pokémon Perfect Crystal finished so far this year: Gato Roboto drowning, drowning New Super Mario Bros. TMNT 3: Radical Rescue tabled: Lost Ruins |

Quote (Glenn Magus Harvey @ 10th February 2014 14:28) You didn't start making all sorts of silly references the way I hear the GBA version did, did you? No, just one... Bartz says to Galuf "Pretty bold, aren't we?" Then when they go to steal the ship, Faris again says "Pretty bold, aren't we?" They are both references to this. (You'll have to fast forward to 6:04, because Youtube no longer allows timestamped links). -------------------- X is blue. |
