Recently I've been replaying FFIV and I've cross-referenced it with CoN and before I didn't think it was as in-complete as it's been said it is, it's not bad but there is a few holes.
Some things I noticed in the first 1/3 of the game. (I'll add more when I get to 2/3 and 3/3 Fire2 is learned at level 12 not 11 with palom *FIXED* Ice-2 is learned at level 11 not 10 with palom *FIXED* Lit-2 is learned at level 13 not 12 with palom *FIXED* In part 13 of the walkthrough there is 2 cure1 potions not 1 and there is also a life potion and there is also 2 ether1 potions not 1. Stop is learned at level 14 not 13 with palom *FIXED* In the walkthrough part 16 the first sentence is: "Head down the bridge, the along the path." Which is terribly unclear (Not to mention grammatically in-correct.) because the last sentence of part 15 of the walkthrough was: "You can also purchase the Dancing Knife for Palom, which has an item-use attack similar to the Rod." What it should say is that the place you want to go is in the house directly below cid's and it looks kind of like it's built into the wall. Virus is learned at level 19 not 18 with palom *FIXED* In the waterrway the itmes in it are: Cure2, 2 ether1, 3 lifes, 500gp and ancient sword. There is no lit-bolt in the Super NES version. (Or maybe it does and I'm just stupid) Hope that helps improve the FF4 database This post has been edited by Messier17 on 28th July 2009 23:26 -------------------- If god is all-forgiving then why do we have to kill people in his name? |

First thing I'd like to know is what version you're playing and if you recorded any independently-verifiable sources for this. It is possible that the playthrough that I did myself got the wrong levels for Palom, which would stand to reason if they all ended up being one off.
We do ask for people to actually prove the things they're suggesting we change, so that we can try to verify them ourselves before blindly editing them in. I don't know if this actually qualifies as "actually pretty bad," but I guess that's up to you. -------------------- "To create something great, you need the means to make a lot of really bad crap." - Kevin Kelly Why aren't you shopping AmaCoN? |

Well I used some wrong choice of words on the 'pretty bad' I probably should have phrased it differently, I'll come up with some screenshots soon and I'm playing the Super NES American. EDIT: Screenshots http://img50.imageshack.us/i/50588113.png/ As you can see Palom is level 10 in this picture in which case he should have Ice-2 correct? http://img142.imageshack.us/i/ff42.png/ Except as you can see in this picture, he's learning ice-2 while he is leveling up with the same HP as level 10. Which means Ice-2 is NOT learned at level 10 This post has been edited by Messier17 on 28th July 2009 15:45 -------------------- If god is all-forgiving then why do we have to kill people in his name? |

OK, you're absolutely right about Palom - I just edited a savegame to clean out his learned magic bank and reset him to level 1, and the levels you reference as he re-learns are correct. Like I said above, I clearly miscounted when I was testing this data myself; I've fixed all the impacted levels.
The rest I'll have to look at later. -------------------- "To create something great, you need the means to make a lot of really bad crap." - Kevin Kelly Why aren't you shopping AmaCoN? |

I'll see if I can find some screenshots of the dungeons which will require loads more work. (7-8 items a dungeon on average)
