Hey guys, I'd figure I'd ask in comment and suggestions, rather than in general topics because it is a forum specific question and hence site related in a sense:
So I just saw a surgence of topics resurrected from several years prior. Sooooo what's up with all the necromancy? Normally I wouldn't think enough of it to ask about it, since we have no official rule against necromancy and have something of a rule in effect to keep topics all in one thread. (It doesn't seem to be as strict as it once used to be from my perspective but it's still in effect as Rule 1.c) Hence I figure so long as you have something substantially conducive to say that's on topic and doesn't constitute spam, it should generally be alright by CoN standards if not sometimes preferable. I think it's rather cool that we don't necessarily close doors to make statements of import and one of my last few posts before a bit of an absence was in fact such a resurrection made upon such a basis... However, there are quite an unusual lot of them all at once and more importantly I saw a post by Neal suggesting this specific timeframe is of import. So I'm just curious if there's something special happening recently that created a resolve to resurrect topics or if it's a merely coincidental observance. -------------------- |
