OK it is pretty basic, which one do you think was better, Chrono Trigger or the sequal Chrono Cross. I enjoyed CT much more then CC, even though I played CC first. I just thought the characters and concept were better overall.

My vote was with CT, it was just a phenomenal game. CC was excellent, but not phenomenal.

I played CT but not CC. However, I do know that

Lucca dies in CC

and Glenn isn't the Glenn from the other game. Both of those facts I didn't like, which was why I voted for CT.

(In case you're wondering, the "Glenn" part of my username refers to Glenn of CT, since my ideal self would possess a sense of duty like that of Glenn (of CT) and would be attractive to extremely smart, glasses-wearing girls like Lucca.)

For me this was a very difficult decision. I love Chrono Trigger and have upped my stats for my characters so high that they are stars instead of numbers. But still, Chrono Cross has a huge great moments. I was very impressed with it because they linked Chrono Cross to Chrono Trigger a lot of times. The story just made me want to keep playing it forever. Both games are great, but Chrono Trigger beats Chrono Cross just by a bit in my mind.

I was almost tempted to vote for CC, as I am one of the few people around here who really, really liked it...but CT is just one of the best games of all time.

It is about time someone else besides me say something nice about CC. It is a great game. It is one of my favorites on the PlayStation.

CC-one of the best RPG's on playstation, with a great story. entertaining characters, fun fighting system but TERRIBLE magic system.

CT-(considering the system it came from) extraordinary graphics, fantastic story and character backgrounds, great battle system AND magic system. and of course it gave life to crono!

it also had great music, and kicka$$ subquest/sidequests

i vote CT.

i myself chose CT it contained a very origonal story-line, and had great gameplay

and mainly it didn't have as many annoying characters as chrono cross did

both of them great games

it is mainly that CC had so many annoying characters

and CT had a great character cast, the only annoying one was dalton

Chrono Trigger, of course. Tied for my favorite RPG of all time and high on the list of my favorite games ever. The game had an awesome personality, with a fun plot that could be both believably serious and refreshingly humorous, and a cast of memorable characters.

Chrono Cross was by no means a bad game, and it had a lot of great points. I was just kind of disappointed by the way it departed from Chrono Trigger's original feel, and it kind of messed with the storyline. I like to think of it as an "alternate future" story for the original CT, if only for the sake of my personal enjoyment.
