I wonder if any of you know this FFMUX, but I'm kind of lost what this site is about and what to do in this site.
here's the link http://ffmux.play-hookey.com/ I guess it would come out interesting when I at least understand what's going on. It's about all final Fantasy mixed up together. That's all I can tell you. -------------------- I will be there... |

Greetings Bismark,
I'm a staffer at FFMUX, and since I've seen this post has already referred a few people to our site, I might as well give a bit of an explanation for people who are totally lost. Final Fantasy MUX is an online, text-based role playing game. The basic premise, yes, is that the worlds of each Final Fantasy game have converged. However, what happens from there is up to the players. With characters and world powers from such a variety of games, there's plenty of interesting interaction, humorous situations, and serious stories to be experienced. You really have to see it to understand it fully. Our website does the job of explaining what you need to get a character, however the easiest way to learn about us is by logging on as a guest and asking questions. We don't mind, and we don't bite. For those of you who are familiar with MUDs, though, let me say now that we are NOT a MUD. There is no player-killing, and very little combat in general. We're here to be a place to roleplay, not kill one another. =P Just figuring I'd fire off that warning before people come knocking on the door thinking we're something we really aren't. |

thanks for info, but I'm slow learner
you said easiest way to learn is to log in as a guest, but I don't know how to log in do I have go to contact section and click telnet://heimdall.play-hookey.com:5403/ ? I don't know what to do after that. Also, do you mind if you give an example for signing up? (I would recommend to put that on site so other people can look at it too) because I am confused with OC, FC, NFC s. -------------------- I will be there... |

Once you click on that connect link, your telnet program should open and automatically connect you to the game. From there, you type 'connect guest guest', to log on as a Guest, and then 'g <message>' to speak with other guests and staffers.
We don't provide actual copies of applications, as it makes it far too easy for people to just copy portions of it and expect to get accepted, but you can feel free to ask any questions you have once you are connected as a guest. There are, most of the time, people connected who will be willing to help explain the things you don't understand, so don't hesitate to ask about anything you need more information on. |
