I kept forgetting to try to play when I was overseas last week, so I didn't get a chance to find any region-specific Pokemon to bring back to the US.
![]() Because I play so little, I'm only at level 10 now, but I did do my first evolution yesterday, a Vaporeon named Floodface. Installed him at a gym for the first time today, so I'm feeling accomplished! -------------------- "To create something great, you need the means to make a lot of really bad crap." - Kevin Kelly Why aren't you shopping AmaCoN? |

Last night's update dumped a ton of second (I think?) gen Pokemon into the game, with what appear to be fairly crazy encounter rates - they're virtually all I saw this morning.
I still play a little each day because my daily routine makes it easy to play for five minutes at a time, six days a week. And I finally found a gym in the country next to my parents' house that is easy to hold, so that makes it more likely that I come back to get the rewards - I've had a Flareon in that gym since Christmas Eve. -------------------- "To create something great, you need the means to make a lot of really bad crap." - Kevin Kelly Why aren't you shopping AmaCoN? |

Sounds intriguing, but probably not enough to bring me back in. I kinda gave up on the game a long time ago, but haven't the heart to delete it completely!
I have, however, recently discovered Pokemon Duel, which I'm sinking much more time into... -------------------- We apologise for the inconvenience |

I gotta be honest, the game didn't grab me. I'm not sure if it's because the product didn't match my expectations or simply because I didn't spend enough time with it. Now, I love going on walks/hitting the local trail, so that part wasn't the problem. I found it troublesome to work with stopping in the middle of my walk and whipping out a pokeball to catch a Ratatta. I saw plenty of people with mobile in hand engrossed with their screen. I just couldn't make it work similar magic on me. The game hadn't been played since December and I've since deleted it.

We had a guy get fired over the game a few weeks ago. We work in a "sterile" environment (no cell phones, no laptops/tablets, nothing in your USB port other than the mouse and keyboard the company provides, etc). Fella was trying to catch something on the main floor where most of my department work with sensitive information.

Dumb people play games too! ![]() I've tapered on this some now because I've gotten lazy. The new gyms don't make sense to me yet, so I'm not interacting with them as much. I still usually keep capture and Pokestop streaks going, but I've got more items and Pokemon than I feel like dealing with at any point - even though none of them are really all that good - so I tend to pop it open for a few minutes a day when I know I'm going to be stopped at long traffic lights on the way home from school dropoff. I might look into the gyms a bit more next time I visit my parents, as they have a gym across the road from their house out in the country. -------------------- "To create something great, you need the means to make a lot of really bad crap." - Kevin Kelly Why aren't you shopping AmaCoN? |

Shortly after the game was available I played it a lot with a friend. We always played on a spot where there are 3 stops close to each other.
![]() I rarely battled at gyms, because the Pokémon in there were too strong (like 2000+ CP). Now I play it sometimes, but not as much anymore when the hype was going on. Because of that I don't have a lot of Pokémon from the 2nd generation. |

Is anyone still playing or has recently come back to playing? The update for actual friend-related stuff dropped right before I left the country for a week and I didn't get much chance to check it out until now. I'll share my friend code if any CoN folk are still playing.

I have hated pokemon since it was introduced with a fiery passion. Just everything about these things annoys the fucking shit out of me. However this looks kinda interesting with the aesthetics and Im also desperate for a good RPG on the 3DS.
