I'd like Orlandu, because his "All Swordskills" skill is very impressive and his weapon, 'Excalibur', its have great power...

I voted for Agrias. She isn't as strong as Orlandu, but I think that the female only equipment she has access to makes up for it.

Enjoyed them all.

Reis. Her absolutely insane stats make her the most powerful character in the game using a decent build, but she's overwhelmingly more suited to magic because of the Dragoner's bad set of equipment. You work on her a bit, and she's the best magic user in the game, to the point where magic is actually worth using.

Agrias. She's not too overpowering and she's fun to use. 'Nuff said.

Agrias is my favourite playable character. I love her role in the storyline, honourably serving the royal family and protecting the princess. And her moves are just so cool. Very fun to use.

Armour won't help the heart stay sharp.

My favorite playable character is Ramza. Not only is he with you the entire time, he's extremely powerful but also very flexible (esp. in Chapter 4).

Of the options in the poll, Reis' job has great MA growth, allowing you to make her an excellent Calculator. Beowulf and Orlandu have great skillsets, of course. Balthier is also pretty OP, esp. once you get Barrage. Luso has mostly the same strengths as Ramza, plus auto poach.

I like Meliadoul's sprite...

EDIT: Durh, forgot Agrias. She is, as someone said, not OP but still fun to use. I also like her personality and storyline, as well. And she's female so she can wear Ribbon/Perfume/etc. (and the ROUGE!!!)

I've said why I liked Beowulf a million times over the years, but I'll reiterate 'cause he's so awesome: instant Oracle spells (my fave generic class, btw), agreeable MP costs, can equip heavy armor/knightswords, and status effects! Man, I love status effecs. My 2nd-fave would probably Meliadoul who has one of the best sprites in the game. Her skills are alright but I usually make her a priest with a Divine Sword secondary -- it's got some weird flair to it.

Agrias has always been a mainstay in my party. I love that chick. Beowulf, Ramza, and Orlandu are basically the Holy Trinity of Tactics though. All three are such great units. Agrias, however, doesn't need as much babying as Ramza or Beowulf do to get amazing, and you get her far earlier than Orlandu.

Battlewise? Orlandu or Agrias (she joins earlier and has acess to awesome equipment), or Balthier (in the PSP version).

Otherwise, I really like Construct/Worker 8, Byblos and Mustadio.

its weird that out of the 12 people who have voted only two have voted for Thunder God Cidolphus Orlandu. I mean who couldnt like a guy with a name that long and he's got a beard! Rock On!

Since I advertise CoN there I think it's only fair that I advertise The Wiki here.

I voted for Agrias for the same reason most are voting for her. She's cool without being broken. Cid is a badass, but he's so strong he makes the game dull. Agrias on the other hand takes some actual planning to use and has a nice backstory. Plus, I like to think she'd be pretty cute if she was in the art style of, say, FF12.
