Ok several odd things I've seen in Chrono trigger.
1. In all the pictures of Ayla I've seen, she has a club. Why? Her weapon is her fists. 2. Frog has the Masamune. Why? Isn't the Masamune a katana in Squenix? 3. Crono. Chrono trigger. Why the h in the title of the game? His name has no h. -------------------- Excuse me? Would you mind not talking while I'm interupting? |

1. She has a club because she is from a prehistoric tribe, and it's a common stereotype based upon factual knowledge that prehistoric man used club-based weaponry. It's artistic licence.
2. While names may be encountered across series, different games will have their own mythology. Masamune swords within games are an homage to a legendary swordsmith named Masamune. He created all sorts of weaponry, not just katana. So whilst Masamune blades in Final Fantasy games have usually been Katana, there is no requirement for the same to be true in Chrono 3. Crono is the character's name. Chrono in Chrono Trigger is a play on words for the fact that it references the title of the main character and also the time travel element of the game. Again, there is no requirement that the game title includes the character's name. -------------------- We apologise for the inconvenience |

Also, in the original release of the game, each character could only have up to five letters is his name.

The old adventurer sitting at a bar is a device often used to get an adventuring team to start said adventure. He'll tell you his awesome 'war story' or 'we saw the dragon's hoarde' tale if you buy him an ale or even a meal. Once we have our direction via crazy old drunk, we can begin said adventure.

One's memory after years of not playing it.
Do we need another discussion of cliches and tropes? Caveman with club. Egg opens up with monster and sapping ooze. The one wearing black is evil. The good guy saves the day. There's no object without a power and/or a way to attain one. Must we go on? -------------------- https://www.youtube.com/user/Greatermaxim Terra - LV 99 - HP 9999 - MP 999 Equipment - - - Abilities Illumina - - - - - Fight Genji Shield - - Morph Oath Veil - - - - Magic Minerva - - - - - Item Ribbon Economizer |
