I'm trying to get through Final Fantasy 1 again, but I'm a little stuck. Where do you go after you finish the Earth Shrine? Everyone's like "Warriors, revive the power of the orbs!" But no one wants to tell you how.

Yay, finally, someone with needing help in FF1! Well Gears, board your ship and sail southwest til you find the town of Crecent. Go in and talk to the circle of sages til you receive the canoe from one of them. Then use the canoe to go through the riverways near Crecent til you reach Gurgu (Or was it Gulug?) Volcano. That's your next goal! ^^

More fun, however, is to go to the ice cave before the volcano.
ice cave=floater=airship, then class change and now the game is much more fun!  
In fact, if you've got enough faith in your units, forget the volcano, get your class change, and loot the Shrine.  Once you've loaded yourself up, you can just run through the Volcano right quick (don't bother with treasure chests; money is pointless by now, and you've got better armor already).
 Oh, and as it seems you're a bit rusty on the game, I'd suggest you download a map of the outerworld so you know where the fetch all this cool stuff is.

So, im gonna borrow your post here gears.. but what do you do directly after you get the ship? ive had Origins here in scotland since saturday, but i havent played it much, as you may know if you read my 'released in uk/scotland' thread, and its all because of Linkin Park.... and C&C retaliation

Go south/southwest across the sea and look for a port near a town and a castle. It's Elfland, and you have to go there next. Visit Matoya (she's between Pravoka and Corneria) first if you haven't yet.
