This wasn't near as much threadcromancy as I thought it was going to be...
I'll just quote it all cuz it's true... Quote New laptop, new desktop. Widescreen ftw? lol Vista (just to get that out of the way before anyone starts) My Laptop desktop Actually posted as more of a brag than anything, I found an awesome BSoD pic that I set as my background. For those of you who are interested, the BSoD is from Windows version 1. Waaaay classier than the current BSoDs if you ask me. That, and it masks everything I have in a blue and white blob. Edit Another little thing to add... I have affectionately named my new computer Lappy 486... Take that, subtle humor!!! I'm not going to post my actual desktop since I change it every few days, but I will put some links up for a few of the screens I have used.
This is from the anime, Read or Die (actually an opening screenshot) http://images.search.yahoo.com/images/view.../&no=147&tt=218 Sorry, I hadn't the patience to do it the right way check out almostsmart.com and check all of the weasel's artwork. Wait, here's a link: http://www.almostsmart.com/wallpaper/weasel.html Next time when I'm sober I'll do it right-- I had a bad day today |

Heres mine.
Unfortunately a virus is slowly forcing me to reformat so it won't look like this for long (thank god) the wallpaper is more of my pixel art. It's not as good as most since I don't have much time for that anymore, but I like it. -------------------- "You know that feeling you get when you're on a merry go 'round, and you want to jump off to make the spinning stop, but you know it'll suck when you land? Well, this requires some explanation:
My Current Desktop I have a dual screen setup, but it's makeshifted between a 15" LCD monitor, and a 19" CRT monitor, meaning that my resolution ranges are different for both. The CRT (Right) is slightly higher resolution than the LCD (Left), so sizing and positioning are slightly different. This also means that when I drag my mouse between the two monitors, if I wheel to the top left corner of the right screen, it does not roll into the left screen, as there's an edge. A - like A - so. And in case you were wondering, that is the Ion drumset that is coming out for Rock Band 2. I'm totally getting it, and I'm keeping the pic up for inspiration... September, baby! Edit: I spelled dual like a moron. Durrrrr... Before I got the dual screen setup, I used this wallpaper, but now I'm using this dual jet setup which I think looks really nice.
Also, hooray for no desktop icons. RainMeter. |

Seeing as I made this thread... FOUR years ago, I might as well post my current desktop.
this! The background picture is a picture I took at The Palace of Gold, which is a seemingly out of place but nonetheless gorgeous Hare Krshna temple in the middle of my hometown in Nowhere, West Virginia . |

New job means at least two new PCs (I hear I might end up with a Vista box and possibly a Mac box too at some point), which means two new wallpapers.
Here's my new XP desktop, it's a screencap I took last weekend while playing Dreamfall: The Longest Journey. And here's my Linux desktop, with a wallpaper from a Portal collection that I've been working on and probably will release in full to everyone soon. Click both to see in full 1280x1024. -------------------- "To create something great, you need the means to make a lot of really bad crap." - Kevin Kelly Why aren't you shopping AmaCoN? |
