I'm really surprised no one has posted this yet. Has anyone here besides me tried the iOS version of Final Fantasy IV? It's pretty sweet to have this kind of Final Fantasy on your phone. Not to mention having a classic story line its easily the best RPG out for the iOS.

My only problem is that they removed the DS summon Whyt.

You'd think they'd add in some content to justify the price but they have not. It's still a good buy.

I would say that there hasn't been a topic about it because relatively few people buy iOS games at Square Enix pricepoints. I don't think they're necessarily too expensive, but a lot of people do.

I have played the DS version about halfway through, and I quite liked it. Eventually I'll get it for iPad. Until then, though, I haven't even touched my PSP FF4, so I'm not aching for it.

I've been wishing to play Final Fantasy IV PSP but I do not think that will happen any time soon sadly....

They are also on Android! Final Fantasy IV (DS) is currently on sale for $10 on the Google Play store to celebrate the pending release of FFV.

Personally, I love it! I had no idea these games were available on mobile. I've wanted to play some of the handheld remakes for years now, but don't own any handheld systems and couldn't justify buying them for one or two games.

The graphics and sound are amazing, as is the touch screen interface. I figured they could easily put the original SNES game on mobile, but the 3D DS game that only came out in 2009? That was a surprise. Technology sure is evolving rapidly. I'm glad I now have the opportunity to play this game.

I picked it up for Android... they have a new "Hard" option which is noticeably more difficult in terms of the damage enemies are putting on me so far.

I mostly got it for the 50+ achievements you can earn for various feats.

This is the one with the Dork Knight...ahem...Dark Knight, right?

Clever. But what other FF4 could there be? There's never been name confusion for Final Fantasy IV.

That said, The After Years, the Final Fantasy IV sequel, is going to get a mobile phone release. More on that in our next news tidbits.

Ok, a good chunk into the game now (Tower of Babil) and I have to say, playing on a touch screen is MUCH harder than with a controller! It takes so long to scroll through the menu, pick a command, and choose a target, that by the time I'm done the enemy has usually taken their turn. I've had to reassert my strategy mid-choice when suddenly one of my party members is dead, and have been annihilated altogether on several occasions. I also find that I end up picking the wrong thing or choosing the wrong target more often. Still love the remake, but it does get a little frustrating sometimes.
