Might sound silly with me asking, since I think around here I'm supposed to be the person who knows these things. But, has anyone seen any sort of credible rumors around this? It seems like it would be a no-brainer since they have a well-running version of WotL on iOS and Android now, and the porting path for older FFs seems to all flow through mobile.
I've bought Final Fantasy Tactics four times now, and I have to admit I'd buy it a fifth to have WotL on a big screen and without touch controls. -------------------- "To create something great, you need the means to make a lot of really bad crap." - Kevin Kelly Why aren't you shopping AmaCoN? |

There's a thread on the Final Fantasy VII forum for Steam where people are voting +1 for it. It was getting voted up almost every day for a while, there must be 800-900 votes up by now.
Lemme see if I can link it... Indeed. 782 posts in this thread right now. I guess you and I aren't the only ones who are clamoring for it. I own it on PSN myself, but I will gladly buy the Steam version should it be suddenly dropped on us. WotL is really a nice little package, but I could understand SE not wanting to just release everything all at once and flood the market. FF9 just came out, after all, and 1, 2, and 12 haven't even been mentioned by them yet, though if I were their marketing guy, I'd certainly be telling them "releasing your 90's-00's output on Steam is like printing money, guys." -------------------- X is blue. |
