Portal and Half-Life Movies?

This can't be real, can it? Is it even good if it's real? I might actually get more hyped for a Portal movie than Episode VIII at this point, and that would probably lead me to crushing depression when I finally saw it.  But really, though, if you're not going to give me any more sequels, I guess I'll take a movie. First, that seems absolutely real, since JJ Abrams is being quoted.
Second, Jesus Christ my fears were correct: JJ Abrams is literally trying to take over every single franchise! But I could see a Half-Life movie working, a Portal movie less so, but neither will be as good as the games. -------------------- |

I think if you got the scenario writers for either/both of the Portal games together they could craft an absolutely brilliant screenplay. But if they're doing that, I'd much rather it be presented as an actual game. The Half-Life universe would be harder to write a good scenario for, IMO, but having another game would still be better. It dawns on me that both series have totally silent protagonists. I just want new ANYTHING from both of these franchises to be honest. So movies are more than welcome. I've liked pretty much everything Abrams has worked on so I have no problem there. But I really want a zelda movie....
