Hello!

Last weekend I attended KupoCon at the BCEC in Birmingham, UK

As you can imagine it's like a Comic Con for Final Fantasy enthusiasts. A little more about the event via their website:

"What?
KupoCon is simply a Final Fantasy fan event, made by the fans of Final Fantasy. If you have a love for the series, or any of the games that make up the series, you have a home at KupoCon. Our event differs from a typical convention. Youll feel like youre surrounded by friends as soon as you arrive. Many describe our event as a giant Final Fantasy themed birthday party!

Where?
KupoCon is a travelling event. We want to try and reach as many fans of the series as possible, so weve moved the event around since its inception. Weve successfully held events in North America, Canada and Europe."

I went by myself and had a wonderful time, and wanted to share it with you. Many here - like myself - are die hard fans of some of the early games compared to present day. However I did not feel that it was a FFXV event. It felt very much a Final Fantasy event.

There were special guests from the Square Enix & Kingslaive world, TriPom cards (Triple Triad) and a Masquerade Ball in the evening! Not to mention the hundreds of marvellous cosplays and special Kingsglaive screening the next day.

I figured where better to nerd out about all this than here flag-red.gif

I was wondering how many here had heard of this event before, or something similar. And how interested you would be in attending an event were it closer to you?

If anyone was interested in finding out more: https://kupocon.com/

I have definitely heard of KupoCon. I'd almost certainly go and take my daughter if it came here, but I'm not really holding my breath. smile.gif

Thanks for telling us about it! Sounds like a great time. If it ever comes to Chicago I'd definitely go.
