I was curious as to how many of you actually consider buying it? i want to try it out first and then i might consider getting it when it comes out since i'm a fan of ff4.

Yep, I plan to get it. I don't have a Wii, so I've never gotten to play The After Years. Being able to play the original storyline again is just a bonus.

Agreed. I've been a slave to IV since 1991, I see no reason to stop now.

I've played and beaten every version of IV other than WSC. I'll probably get this, if mostly for the After Years bits. Do we know if it's going to have the GBA content as well?

I'll probably get the PSP version so I can play The After Years. Getting yet another remake of FF4 is just the icing on the cake. If not for TAY, I'd probably save my money, since I already have the SNES, GBA & DS versions of FF4.

I'll have to wait to hear the reviews first. I was severely disappointed in FF4DS so I'm not going to go out and buy it by default this time. I really liked 4 Advance, so if the PSP version has the new content and says 2D, I'll probably get it.

Quote (trismegistus @ 19th January 2011 08:59) Agreed. I've been a slave to IV since 1991, I see no reason to stop now. Oh god, yes. I totally understand. That being said, I don't think I'm going to run out and buy a PSP just to play The After Years & FFIV. I have to confess that FFIV DS was one of my primary motivators for buying my DS Lite but I think I'll pass on the PSP. -------------------- kame, tortue, tortuga, schildkröte, tartaruga, turtle "Arthur Dent?" I already played this game on the DS. I borrowed it again from a friend and played through some of it because I thought I had been to harsh on the story, and it turned out I had been.
As I don't feel motivated to do any sideqeusts, I see no reason to buy this game. -------------------- "When we think there's no hope left, we keep looking until we find some!" - Claire Farron |

No, I have the DS remake. And frankly, I think it's a bit overrated. But I guess I like the new sprites.

Yes, as I've never played FFIV or The After Years and this is a good opportunity for me to do so.

Yes x10.
Mostly for The After Years. But also because, well, the FF4 DS version kind of let me down. The models looked great in closeups, but in combat (against normal monsters, not the boss fight camera angle) everything seem so pixelated and scrambled. I think this is what I really wanted from a FF4 remake the whole time. Kinda hope 5 and 6 get this treatment too. |

*sigh*...I'm sad to say that I probably shall, having recently bought a PSP. [insert my "FFIV is overrated rant" here]
I've played the GBA version, but I only got to the Giant of Babil. I figure that another chance to beat it again is always nice, and since I don't own a Wii, I'd get to play The After Years. -------------------- |

Oh well,it happens.
I never suspected that ff4 would end up getting more credit than ff9 because years back it wasn't nearly as possible as it is today. I want to try out after years anyways since i'm a big ff4 fan. -------------------- We are stardust. Our bodies are made from the guts of exploding stars. Neil Degrasse Tyson. |

Nope. I already have the FF IV DS and already love it to bits. Plus FF IV seems to be getting alot of attention lately and I'm trying to take a brake away from it.. -------------------- Currently playing Chrono Trigger !! Currently looking forward to Don't Know. |

I will, definitely. Really annoyed at my DS-version being pirated, as well as not having played the after years.

Quote (trismegistus @ 19th January 2011 11:59) I've been a slave to IV since 1991, I see no reason to stop now. Here, here. Clearly, I never tire of spending money on this game. I certainly never tire of playing new versions of it. Wonder if it'll get another new translation? I hope so, more reason to grin when they inevitably leave spoony bard in.
