I have been looking at the ff1 walkthrough, and it seems that all bosses except lick are vulnerable to instant death. I don’t really believe that, but I want to confirm if all bosses but lick can be instant K.O.’ed

I bought a wooden whistle. But it wooden whistle. So I bought a steel whistle. But it steel wooden whistle. So I bought a lead whistle. But it steel wooden lead me whistle.

From what I can see, most of the bosses are in fact vulnerable to instant death but the chance is extremely small (something like 3/256 chance). Also, the fact that you can't get anything that allows you to cause instant death until fairly late in the game means that, while a lot of bosses are vulnerable to instant death, you can't use it anyway.
