After receiving the Big Whale I right away swapped out Edge for Yang (since I find the character of Edge annoying). I then went to the moon and started the path towards the core and found a really handy way to battle Behemoths.
Have Yang 'power up' (or is it 'build up'?). Not only will this double your attack power, but it will also cause Behemoth to not retaliate against your party. If you keep defending with your other party members, and just let Yang keep going at it, you'll have defeated Behemoth without getting hurt. This is really useful if you're trying to get Bahamut from his cave and your party is underleveled. Yet another reason why I like Yang better than Edge. -------------------- kame, tortue, tortuga, schildkröte, tartaruga, turtle "Arthur Dent?" "Yes." "Arthur Philip Dent?" "Yes." That's awesome.... I used to hate Yang, but he's started to grow on me.

I love Yang! But I haven't been to the moon with him yet. I personally found buildup to be handy, but about as slow as Jump.

Quote (Barrylocke @ 31st January 2006 04:34) I love Yang! But I haven't been to the moon with him yet. I personally found buildup to be handy, but about as slow as Jump. Actually I think his build up is based on the number of turns, not in a specified time period (like say, 20secs). So when you do his build up, and everyone else 'defends', then the time will go by really quick since (as I said before, I think) everyone is rushing through their turns. -------------------- kame, tortue, tortuga, schildkröte, tartaruga, turtle "Arthur Dent?" I like Rubicant myself. He's the only Fiend that isn't a total *!&^$.
Milon/Scarmiglione is too hateful. Kainazzo/Caignazzo is an impersonating *!&^$. Valvalis is just kind of a filler person who doesn't have much of a character. But, Rubicant. He's actually an honorable fighter. After pwning Edge, he tells him to get more powerful then come back. Before you actually fight him, he heals you, apparently he's bored with substandard hero-types and wants a challenge. =/ That's all. -------------------- Peace is a lie, there is only passion. Wait until you get "Deadly". You're almost guaranteed to do straight 9s with that.
I also got Yang, I used him and Cid, at a time. (Cid's Flare hammer and what-not.) -------------------- |

Before you actually fight him, he heals you, apparently he's bored with substandard hero-types and wants a challenge. If only it were that simple. The truth is, Rubicant it depressed. Terribly, horribly depressed. Yes, Yang is amazing. I've always thought so, and aside from a small worry in the back of my mind that Yang would be a gimp near the end of the game, he's incredibly powerful (with low HP). -------------------- Oh sure, I don't have to get kicked in the junk to activate it, but I like it anyway. -- Thief commenting on the difference between Throw and Blue Magic. |
