I love the SNES. Here are most of my favorites in no particular order....
Mega Man X1, X2, and X3 Rockman and Forte Super Castlevania IV Super Metroid Super Mario Allstars Actraiser Kirby Super Star Kirby's Dream Land 3 Illusion of Gaia Terranigma Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtlles III: Turtles in Time Super Street Fighter II: Turbo The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past Earthbound Lufia II: Rise of the Sinistrals Breath of Fire II Donkey Kong Country 1 and 2 Final Fantasy IV, V, and VI Chrono Trigger Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars Front Mission Tales of Phantasia Secret of Mana Seiken Densetsu III Fire Emblem: Generations of the Holy War Bahamut Lagoon Dragon Quest V: Bride of Heaven and VI: World of Illusion (weird how two of Japan's all-time bestsellers never made it to the US....) My favorites are probably Mega Man X, Chrono Trigger, Super Metroid, and Tales of Phantasia, but every game on that list is probably worth playing. -------------------- |

Hi! Here's my top 5!
1)Final Fantasy II- This was the very first video game that I played that I can remember. 2)Final Fantasy III- Classic! 3)King of Dragons- I know it started as an arcade game but me and my best friend still love it! 4)Super Mario World- Yet another Classic. 5)Street Fighter II- (same as King of Dragons) -------------------- Duck Tape is like the force, it has a light side and a dark side, and it holds the universe together. |

Mine: Super Mario Kart, Super Mario RPG, FFIIIus, Secret of Mana, A Link to the Past, Chrono Trigger, and Tetris/Dr. Mario (originally NES games, yes, but SO much better on the SNES)
These are just ones that I actually own or have owned. I haven't done any emulation, yet, so this list is bound to grow sooner or later. -------------------- |

ff4/ff6 smrpg mario world (yoshi island?) loz:link to the past stfighter alpha2 earthbound bof,bof2 secret of mana secret of evermore lufia 1&2 illusion of gaia robotech +++ad naus snes was probably the best genre for rpgs, period. it had quality *and* quantity -- and quantity is important. with ps, we saw high quality but sparse quantity, leaving us bored out of our wits in-between good games, and with ps2 we see, quite frankly, neither. |

In no order (and sans emulation):
-Mortal Kombat II -Street Fighter II -Sunset Riders -Donkey Kong Country -Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest -Final Fantasy IV -Final Fantasy VI -Super Mario World -Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island -Harvest Moon -Star Fox -Kirby Super Star -Stunt Race FX -Chrono Trigger -EarthBound -F-Zero -Secret of Mana -NBA Jam -Super Mario RPG -The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past -Super Mario Kart -Super Metroid Through emulation: -Bahamut Lagoon -Tales of Phantasia -Fire Emblem 4: Geanology of the Holy War -Final Fantasy V ...And several others I can't think of at the moment without digging through my games 'n' such. On a grim note, I discovered the other day that the first-player control port on my SNES no longer detects the controller, which is a surprisingly - only not - effective way to cripple the ability to play the thing. Looks like I'm finally gonna have to search for a new system... urgh...
