Biography

Black Mage No. 288 is one of several black mages who gained cognizance of their situation and managed to escape from Queen Brahne and Kuja to form a village in the woods on the Outer Continent. Mr. 288 is referred to as the leader of the village by other black mages there, and it seems that he has earned this title by being more aware and observant than any of the others. Vivi treats Mr. 288 as a mentor, but unfortunately many of the things he learns are unfortunate truths, such as the concepts of death and the gullibility of their mutual friends.
