Biography

Lenna is princess of Tycoon, much beloved by her kingdom's citizens and devoted to her father, King Tycoon. Some time after King Tycoon departs from his castle to investigate the Wind Shrine on a hunch that the Wind Crystal might be in danger, Lenna feels the wind around the castle die. This prompts her to leave the castle herself to search for her father, where she soon encounters Bartz and Galuf. At the Wind Shrine, the crystals identify Lenna with the spirit of water, kindness.

Lenna is the game's premier magic user, with her inherent stats giving her the highest Magic in the game with good Speed; her Strength is low and her Stamina is below-average. This makes her adept at any magic-using job, such as Summoner, Geomancer, or any variety of Mage. It is noteworthy that these inherent character stats are only small advantages that need not influence how a player distributes jobs between characters. Lenna's natural element is Water, so in Final Fantasy V Advance her Finisher skill deals water damage.

Lenna's kind and selfless nature borders on the absurd - she twice risks her life to save Wind Drakes, once by walking across a poisonous patch of thorns to obtain Dragongrass to heal Tycoon's Wind Drake, and a second time to save the Castle of Bal's Wind Drake by demonstrating how to eat Dragongrass, which is fatal to humans. Lenna was inspired to perform these acts of self-sacrifice by her mother, who died of an illness that could have been cured by a Wind Drake's tongue, but was unwilling to kill Tycoon's Wind Drake to do so. Another key spoiler - Lenna is Faris' younger sister.
