Hey!
As Tiddles alluded to, the only people really still active here from that board are myself and Josh, I believe. But welcome! -------------------- Hey, put the cellphone down for a while In the night there is something wild Can you hear it breathing? Yeah, that's pretty much what happens when a forum shuts down, what, ten years in the past? Starts to become hard to find the regulars at any one spot afterward, I think. -------------------- "To create something great, you need the means to make a lot of really bad crap." - Kevin Kelly Why aren't you shopping AmaCoN? |

Yeah, that's seriously hardcore old when you've been around since 1997. CoN is the community I've been around the second longest, and that's only been since 2002. The first one is Starmen.net/Earthbound.net when I joined in high school. People get old and move on unfortunately. Despite my age, I'm still marvelously immature XD

I joined up in highschool. I did stop comming here for about a year or 2 after i graduated but I ended up coming back. These are about the only forums that i was part of back then that still has a decent active member count.
as my joined date says, i've only been here for a little less than 5 years. This post has been edited by TrueBOSS on 24th April 2012 23:02 -------------------- He's Back. He is The_TrueBOSS. Check me and my partners out at: https://www.youtube.com/user/TheTrueBOSSofJupiter |

I was on that forum too! Every once in awhile I try to find a cache of posts from it, but I think AOL probably has deleted all that info by now.

Welcome to the current incarnation of the forum, and I look forward to seeing your sharing stories of days so old that I wasn't even around for them. If you happen to have any old AOL data back to the old boards or perhaps even for Dr Gamewiz's old forum I would be very thankful!
Lately I've been trying to dig up old information photos from the old days to bring back memories. One thing about this site is that it really hasn't changed much at all after all these years. I came back a couple years ago and my ancient sig was still there. It's nice to know you guys are still around it seems after all popular Final Fantasy sites have fell the Caves or Narshe is still standing. That's our goal, yes. We may never have been as popular as some of the others, but we're resilient.
I actually attempted to archive some of the old AOL boards but there was no way to do it besides manual copy and paste, and the boards themselves were completely erased probably ten years ago or so. Since these were internal to AOL, they could never have been aggregated by any archiving system, either. I don't think you'll ever see any of that content again. -------------------- "To create something great, you need the means to make a lot of really bad crap." - Kevin Kelly Why aren't you shopping AmaCoN? |

How about those old AOL made websites? I know they were locked to your account to a certain extent? I never played Final Fantasy Extreme that I can recall. AOL-hosted websites were killed off about two years ago, permanently, and any user who did not log in and download the content from those websites manually lost it forever.
