Yeah I'm stoked. Was a little disappointed when I heard this was just going to be about a half-season miniseries, but I have complete faith in Bryan and Michael, especially given what I have heard. -------------------- I fear my heart and fear my soul Life goes on, it surely will, Without me and I wonder: Will I ever see light again? It's definitely something I'll tune in for, after the awesomeness that was the original series (particularly the last season). Korra's projected length is kinda 'meh' but if they pack some awesome cabbage-crashin' hijinx in there, I'm down.

I looooove what they've done with the new animation. It keeps the feeling of the original, but it's so improved. It looks just wonderful.

I'm not crazy about Korra's character design, but I guess it's a way to make her noticably older than the characters of the last series (though isn't she supposed to be the same age as Sokka was?)

The animation is really slick. Looking forward to that aspect a lot.
I like most of the character designs/environment concepts. It's definitely going to be refreshingly new compared to the original. My only possible concern is that they might try to take themselves too seriously this time around and lose some of the plucky charm that was both child-friendly and generally entertaining. But these guys seem to know what they're doing, so I'll just stick to being excited for now. I may have just made out with my computer screen.
I'm not too sure about the whole it-looks-like-Avatar-is-headed-a-modern-metropolis locale, but I'm confident that Bryan and Michael can pull it off. |

I saw that the first episode was out, but now that the second ep's out too, better go watch. That animation DOES look slick, too...

It's like, way too good. Really, really incredible. With the choices they made with the premise, setting, and characters, I thought there would be some bad decisions. There weren't even really any bad moments. I can't wait for more.

I heard of this series a while back, but hadn't been keeping up with the news on it.
I loved the first Avatar series, I can't wait to check this one out. -------------------- FF games completed: I (psp), II (psp), III (DS), IV (psp), V (GBA), VI (GBA), VII, VIII, IX, X, XI: Nations-Rhapsodies of Vana'diel, XII, XIII, XIV, XV. Spin-offs: FFIV: Interlude & The After Years, Crisis Core: FFVII, X-2, XIII-2, Lightning Returns, Type-0 HD, Dissidia, Dissidia 012, and Tactics (original & WotL). Enjoyed them all. |

I really liked these two episodes. I hooked my laptop up to my HDTV and watched them both at 2 in the morning after work.
For me, it was as good as the original. I like the new setting. I like all the characters. I liked everything about it. I can't wait for more. -------------------- "And that, my liege, is how we know the Earth to be banana-shaped” -Sir Bedevere the Wise |

Watching the premiere.
This pretty much sums up my feelings. Quote (Narratorway) Whose idea was it to play the debut at noon though?
