Article on Final Fantasy VI's game design elements
Fascinating read. Lengthy article deconstructing Final Fantasy VI and attempting to explain why it's such a triumph of RPG design. Worth a look. -------------------- |

Wow Lasz, fantastic find. This is an fascinating evaluation of an incredible range of elements from FFVI to reveal the empirical evidence behind its success as a game. It's divided over the course of several chapters, so if you have a particular interest in what is said about music, exploration, NPC contribution, character emphasis vs. enemy emphasis, etc, you can easily navigate to that particular section without having to go through the whole thing. The last page includes a super super brief summary of a couple of the author's main points as well, for anyone who'd like a glimpse of what's being done in the full work.
Incredibly insightful project. -------------------- Currently Playing : Final Fantasy V Most Recently Beat : Elder Scrolls: Skyrim Favorite Game : Final Fantasy X The newest CoNcast is up! Have a listen! |

Oh, great, give me empirical evidence to be a loudmouth about this game, lol. Awesome article. Thanks. This'll be great to read, especially since I love behind the scenes info on game design.
