People are upset about this? I always thought Faris's pirate talk was cool. |

Gamefaqs I'm not surprised. Only a fraction of them are big FF fans. Here I am surprised but people have their own opinions i guess. maybe they're jealous of a chick who will run ye thru. lol jk. |

It's most likely a complaint as to the translation quality of the PS1 release. Faris's pirate-speak is sensible in the GBA version, but the PS1 port doesn't exactly have the best translations. (Reina and Y-Burn, anyone?) |

Quote (LilyheartsLightning @ 4th January 2012 00:16) It's most likely a complaint as to the translation quality of the PS1 release. Faris's pirate-speak is sensible in the GBA version, but the PS1 port doesn't exactly have the best translations. (Reina and Y-Burn, anyone?) She only sounds like a pirate on the PlayStation port. On the Game Boy Advance she sounds more British. Personally, I would rather go with her "bland" dialogue in the RPGe Super Famicom fan translation hack. And Reina is a pretty damn good name I would say. I'm glad Galuf's granddaughter remained named as "Krile" on the GBA remake and didn't get butched into being named as that godawful "Cara." |
