I just read about a new disiddia final fantasy in the works and I thought it would be cool if they actually added Crono to the roster.

Now here is the catch:

If they add a villain from the game, who will they pick?

I say if they add Crono, they'll add Queen Zeal seeing as she was the moving force behind Lavos' early transformation into the perfect lifeform.

Lavos was just doing what it was made to do and was only defending itself.

I think, at best, since this is a FF game, and there are numerous FF characters left out, perhaps Crono could be unlockable, and maybe Magus. But honestly, I'd only like it if they were just secret characters, and no more.

I Agree. And if they get in the game, I will dance such a merry jig.

The merriest jig in the bay area(I'm in CA)

I'd guess that they'd go for Magus as the villain from that game. Yes, he does switch over, but still. He's a bit more of an icon than other characters, and his scythe is fairly unique as far as weapons go. After all, Golbez is the enemy from FFIV.

Sadly, they would almost certainly go for Magus, which is too bad, because he's a character that deserves to be more than a 2nd for a Sephiroth player.

Who would I pick as the Dissidia villain from CT? Dalton, of course!

LATE EDIT: You know, an actually neat idea might be having one character from various other Square or Enix properties as unlockables for a Dissidia-type game...Chrono, Ashley Riot, Hawk from Seiken Densetsu 3, Delita, Shadow from Illusion of Gaia, Lynx, Aya Brea, Erdrick, Brave Fencer Musashi...

They probably would go with magus, even though Zeal was the one responsible for making him that way in the grand scheme of things.

I too would love to see some characters from other square RPGs such as Chrono, Serge or dare I say POSHUL?! tongue.gif

Dude, that would be like their answer to SSB! Lol.

When Dissidia was first announced, a Square SSB was EXACTLY what I pictured in my mind...and it was glorious.

Umm, have to say, I like SSB much better... the N64 one, I mean.

I agree. To be honest I was kind of disappointed with Dissidia, I was expecting more a fun party game and it's more a technical game a la Soul Calibur where you have to actually train to be good. And as a guy who grew up with brainless fighting games like Street Fighters I and II, that's too much work for me.

That being said, I would love to see a crossover game like SSB with Square characters, but I dunno, the company seems too humorless to really get behind that kind of mayhem.

Yeah, that's what I would like to see too. I would like to see Crono vs Cloud, or something like that.

I for one love the complex and intricate battle system, but I agree that nothing compares to a good old fashioned fist fight. thumbup.gif

That being said, I do like at least SOME structure to a fighting game.
That's the reason I prefer the original SSB and SSBM to Brawl.

The battles in brawl went from a simple duel to a boring game of spam-your-one-good-move-till-you-win. pinch.gif

I know Chrono was the main character, but I think Robo, Ayla and Lucca would have a great fighting style. Lasers and fists and guns!

As for an enemy, it'd be awesome if they did more of a secret boss instead of a playable character! Someone like Chakra, who could reappear, or Azala, who'd make a great evil reptite speech!
