Hey everyone,

it's been awhile, but it's nice to be back smile.gif

You all give wonderful opinions whenever people have various questions regarding all things gaming, so I have another one for you!

I recently got a Wii and I must say I'm really enjoying it. I own the basic Wii Sports, Wii Sports Resort, Final Fantasy CC The Crystal Bearers, Sin and Punishment: Star Successor, and SSB Brawl.

Sin and Punishment and SSBB are amazing. I've been playing Brawl nonstop with my friends. Haven't started the Crystal Bearers yet, but I heard it was very mediocre.

I'm looking to get more RPGs for the Wii. I know the system is not very RPG heavy, but do you all have any suggestions? I'm currently looking into Arc Rise Fantasia and Tales of Symphonia.

Also, any must-haves for the system? Thanks in advance!

Rune Factory: Frontier is awesome! I also liked the other Harvest Moon on the Wii, but Rune Factory is rad, though time consuming. I definitely recommend it if you like the HM series.

Um, Final Fantasy: Echoes of Time was all right, but was better suited for the DS since they didn't modify the interface overly nice for the Wii. But, if you're willing to put up with a learning curve, go for it.

Both of the Ogre Battle games available on the Virtual Console are awesome throwbacks and definitely worth a play.

Can't think of any others off hand, since their aren't many.

Shrine the Wanderer's pretty good, so I've heard. I also have Dokapon Journey on the DS, and I presume Dokapon Kingdom is as good, if not better. Super Paper Mario and Twilight Princess are also solid choices, though not as classic RPG.

Games on the Go
Final Fantasy VII
Final Fantasy: Four Warriors of Light
Baldur's Gate

Too much to play, so little time!

The first Tales of Symphonia is a Gamecube game (playable on the Wii) and is very good. Tales of Symphonia 2: Knight of Ratatosk is a Wii game and is not good.

Skies of Arcadia: Legends is my favorite RPG on the Gamecube or Wii (it's a Gamecube game) and is worth checking out. One of my ten favorite RPGs of all time.

The Wii lets you play all three Paper Mario games - the first two are awesome and the third one is okay. PM1 is on the Virtual Console (N64), PM: The Thousand Year Door is Gamecube, and Super Paper Mario is Wii.

If you like Fire Emblem, then there are two FE games available - one on the GC and one on the Wii. They're both okay, but the Wii one is a large jump up in difficulty from the GC one, I've heard.

If you don't have it, why not FFIV(II) on VC? It's definitely a classic.

Can't speak for RPGs, since everyone has pointed out that there aren't many. I would throw a vote in for Mario Kart, though.

My experience with the Wii is really limited, though. Haven't even touched one in a year.

If we're throwing in Gamecube games, though, I think that you might want to look at the Monkey Ball and Bomberman games for the GCN. You seem to like to play with friends, and those are both hilarious for groups.

People seemed to really like No More Heroes, but I'll go with Ranger: Mario Kart is just a game that you need to have.

THE LEGEND OF ZELDA TWILIGHT PRINCESS you have to have to have to buy.

Thanks for the suggestions guys. Mario Kart has been heavily recommended by a bunch of friends. I'll probably be picking that up some time this week. I've also heard great things about No More Heroes, but I'm holding off on that until I beat FFCC The Crystal Bearers.

Something awesome about the Wii is that Virtual Console feature. I had no clue the library was so extensive. I recently downloaded Star Fox 64 and SMRPG to recapture some old memories.

Has anyone ever played Arc Rise Fantasia? I've gotten mixed reviews, but even then, I haven't come across to many people who've played it.

Yeah you can't go wrong with Mariokart! The Crystal Bearers isn't bad at all, neither is The Force Unleashed - a Star Wars game. I find it really difficult to find wii games I actually want to buy....so glad I have a ps3 now happy.gif

The Wii is getting two stellar RPGs later this year in the United States: Xenoblade Chronicles and The Last Story. Both teams have great pedigrees, both games have had extremely high reviews. Those lucky jackanapes in Europe already have both games out.

I think The Legend of Zelda: Twlight Princess and The Legend of Zelda Skyward Sword are two absolute must haves for the Wii. I'm sure most would agree about the first one. Don't know how people feel on the latter, but I love them both.

"The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword is the greatest Zelda game ever created. It's the best game for Wii and one of the finest video game accomplishments of the past 10 years." -IGN
They also gave it an official rating of 10 out of 10! http://wii.ign.com/objects/872/872155.html

I also think New Super Mario Bros. is pretty awesome. R51 mentioned that you seem to like playing with friends. If that's the case, Mario Bros. will be great. It is co-op playable for up to four people at a time. It's kind of a mess at that point, but is really fun!
