Biography

Cyan is a retainer of the kingdom of Doma, leading Doma's army in defending against an assault by Leo and Kefka's forces early in Final Fantasy VI. He's also a family man, with a wife Elayne and son Owain. Cyan speaks with a somewhat archaic accent, which Gau finds delightful (Thou! Thou!). Cyan is hopeless with machines, being completely unable to pilot Magitek armor when breaking through the Imperial siege of Doma.

There's more! But you need to turn on spoilers to see it.

Gameplay

Cyan's is a good physical attacker with solid Strength, strong katana weapons, and the ability to wear most heavy armor, but his stats other than Strength aren't anything to write home about. He can't use the game's best swords, but his attacks will be consistently good. Cyan's unique skill, , has increasingly lengthy time delays before executing, but includes some powerful moves. Special Skill: Bushido

Cyan can execute Bushido skills by charging up. The bar will start at Bushido 1 and will charge up to the most sophisticated Bushido Cyan knows, ultimately 8, and will start at 1 again. To pick a Bushido, press the action button when the Bushido bar has reached the Bushido you want to perform. New Bushido skills are learned as Cyan levels.

Level 1: Fang - Single-target non-elemental, barrier-piercing attack
Level 6: Sky - Allows the user to counter the next physical attack directed at him with an single-target magical, barrier-piercing attack.
Level 12: Tiger - Single-target attack that cuts the target's current HP by 50% and sets Sap.
Level 15: Flurry - Four physical, non-elemental attacks
Level 24: Dragon - Drains HP and MP from a single target
Level 34: Eclipse - Multi-target magical, non-elemental attack that may also set Stop.
Level 44: Tempest - Four physical, non-elemental barrier-piercing attacks.
Level 70: Oblivion - Multi-target attack that sets KO and prevents final counters.

All Bushido skills can also be acquired through a plot-related event late in the game.
