Stiltzkin I'm gonna start by saying that I love this. Your skills are pretty incredible to my inept eyes, and I quite like the concept of taking the characters out of their original environments.

I think the art of the main image is stunning, and I like the joke of the arrow and the 'picture-in-picture' at the bottom too. I think what I would say though, is that the two detract from each other. I think the main image would be even better if it was separate and didn't have the arrow; and I'm sure you could add more to the smaller image if it was a separate piece.

Rangers51 I'm going to argue against Stiltzkin! I do find the arrow a bit distracting but I get the stylistic decision to include it. Doing the more realistic and the chibi style in the same art, though, I think is very clever - I think it reinforces the humor of the scene in a unique way.

ChickenFriedChocobo I like this one! Normally I'm more inclined to go for more realistic pieces, but the stylized elements here, combined with the gag elements like the arrow and the SD-smackdown, make the piece lighthearted. It's very easy to understand what's going on and to get a sense of the punchline (no pun intended wink.gif ).

It's also worth saying that as much as I love combat scenes, epic poses, and the like, I also especially enjoy small 'slice of life' scenes like this one. Considering that our heroes in any of these games spend a lot of time traveling together, there are bound to be numerous occasions when they stop to eat or shop in town, or when they're by the campfire, or when they're just going about the normal routine of a life lived on the road. Seeing them in these mundane moments helps to bring out sides of them the games may not always show us.

Stylistically, I'm not an artist, so I can't comment on technical things to any effect, but I do appreciate the clothing variation. While we're inclined to imagine these characters in their iconic costumes, surely they own at least one more set of clothes for when their 'uniforms' are in the wash, and I think it adds to their characterization to see them in something else that still suits them as people.

In any case, bravo!

Galsic Yeah, I have to say the arrow doesn't quite fit the style of the main image, but I'd hardly dock it for that. This is seriously good. And funny!
